Below
is a guide to what the series is about :
Explosive new characters ensure it will be a volatile season
at The Dragon’s Lair. Familiar faces return, but are they more
interested in saving the club or in settling old scores? Can
Harchester rebuild or will they crumble under the challenge of
being back in the Premiership? New to Harchester this season are
the Rose brothers Cass and Eugene. These boys were split up as
children but both have gone on to be professional football
players and now they are playing in the same team. They could be
an amazing combination but with one terrible problem: they hate
each other. Can the manager bring them together?
We pick up from where we left off at the end of last season. The
Harchester coach in flames, Paramedics swarming to the scene
trying desperately to save the lives of the heroes of Harchester.
The day will be forever remembered for this tragedy, but also
remembered as the day Lynda Block is released from prison
following the murder of Prashant Dattani. As Lynda checks out
she sees the tragedy unfold on Sky News. As she makes her way
out of Harchester HM Prison she is swamped by reporters only to
be rescued by her sister. Lynda makes her way to the hospital in
Cardiff when news breaks on the radio that the death toll has
risen, with Frank, Curtis, Lee and Fletch being identified and
still many unaccounted for. Upset, she bravely carries on to the
hospital to find survivors Danny, Tyson and Ryan shocked and
upset. She asks where the others are but knows from the look in
their eyes that there are no others.
Two months on and Lynda revisits the Lair to pay some respects.
She carries a letter made out from new Harchester Manager Felix
Hahn offering Lynda her old position as Chief Executive. Lynda
flatly refuses the generous offer, saying Harchester has broke
her heart too many times before. Felix refuses to give up and
shows her his first act of business as Manager. He plans to sign
striking partnership Eugene and Casper Rose, but there is one
problem - the two brothers hate each other. Felix asks for
Lynda's help to snare the two brothers without the other knowing
until they are signed and looks to have Lynda on his side.
Eugene's agent Chloe Tyler picks up the morning paper to read
about her clients involvement with a friend in a burglary that
took place on the day of the coach disaster but with
insufficient evidence Eugene is in the clear, albeit
electronically tagged. She visits Eugene only to find him
harbouring the other person in question. She lays into him
telling him what would happen if the Police found out he was
hiding him there and tells him to get his act together for their
meeting with Harchester. Meanwhile Felix is giving Casper a tour
of the stadium ready for his medical. Head of conditioning,
Ashleigh King takes charge and Casper recognises her straight
away from a party which took place on the night of the disaster
but Ashleigh flatly refuses to agree that they have met before
with Felix looking on, who is seeing Ashleigh on the side. After
passing his medical with flying colours, Ashleigh reports back
to Felix who is more interested in Casper and Ashleigh's recent
past than his condition. Again, Ashleigh declines they have met
before but Felix's suspicion is confirmed when Casper sends £300
worth of roses to Ashleigh, who mistakenly thinks they were from
Felix.
The next morning Lynda and Felix are ready to snare the Rose
brothers without them knowing. Casper phones Lynda to tell her
he has decided not to move to Harchester. Lynda asks him to
level with them and Casper informs them that there is one thing
they can do to convince him to move to Harchester - he will sign
the contract but only if Ashleigh delivers it to him in person.
Grudgingly Ashleigh accepts and makes her way to Casper.
Meanwhile Chloe and Eugene are making their way to Harchester
when they are stopped by the Police to inform Eugene that an
eye-witness has positively identified Eugene as the culprit in
the attempted robbery on that fateful night.
A memorial service has been set up to remember those who lost
their lives in the coach disaster. Danny, Tyson and Ryan are all
there as well as Lynda who has to duck out of the opening to
sort out Eugene's transfer. Chloe phones Lynda from the Police
station but tells her they are stuck in traffic, keeping the
truth from her. Chloe gives the Police a false alibi to get
Eugene released and they make their way to The Lair.
Ashleigh turns up at the house Casper is staying at, only to
find he is having an affair with somebody else's wife. When the
returning husband shows up they put on a front acting like a
married couple and even put a deposit down on buying the house!
They looked to have gotten away with it and Casper agrees to
sign the contract and they both make their way to the memorial
service.
Chloe and Eugene arrive to get the transfer ironed out before
registration closes for the upcoming Liverpool game. As they
make their way into the boardroom Chloe spots Casper with
Ashleigh handing over the already signed contract. She
immediately spots what is going on and phones her other client,
and partner Liam MacKay and tells him to come to Harchester
immediately. She stops Eugene from signing the contract and asks
Lynda for a meeting. Chloe tells Lynda that she knows they are
trying to sign the Rose brothers and promises to keep their
secret if they sign her other client Liam from Crewe for a
reasonable £500,000 fee. Lynda knows she has to accept if she
wants the Rose brothers as well and meets up with Liam. Liam
signs for Harchester and Chloe gives Eugene the all clear to
sign the contract just in time for registration.
With all the transfer activity completed for one day everyone
heads out to the memorial service. Danny and Ryan give moving
speeches but Ryan's speech is cut short when Eugene spots his
brother in the crowd. He angrily makes a beeline for his
brother, ruining the tribute in the process leaving Lynda and
Felix to wonder if signing the two brothers was such a good idea
after all.
