The Home Of Dream Team
Harchester United Football Club
was a fictional Premier League football club from the Midlands. |
Below you can read 10 questions that Robert very kindly answered for me.
28th July 2011
1) How did
you get into acting?
I went to Drama School at the age of 18, I studied at GSA on the
three year acting course and graduated in 2005, worked a little,
most notably on the Basil Brush show, filmed an advert for an
Israeli Telecom company and then netted dream Team out of the
blue.
2) Who would you love to meet and have
a chat with .. Dead or Alive and why?
This is one of those who would you invite to Dinner questions
isn't it? I suppose if I had to narrow it down to one person,
the one person I'd love to meet and spend an evening with would
be Jack Lemmon, he was always a man I admired greatly and seemed
possessed of such a grand soul, I think an evening in Jack
Lemmon's company would be like an evening with the grandparents
I never met.
3) What football team do you support?
I'm a lifelong Man Utd fan, but I also have a second team that I
follow, my home team Brighton and Hove Albion.
4) What do you like to do in your spare
time?
Spare time seems to be a luxury I don't often have, as often as
I can in my spare time I try and sleep.
5) What type of music do you like, and
what was the last album you bought?
The last album I bought was Bon Iver's For Emma, Forever. A
friend I was working with showed me it one day and it really
spoke to me, it kept me great company in new Zealand.
6) Who have been the biggest influences
in your life and career?
In my life? my family are the truest influences and my friends.
But in my career the influences have always been the same, my
influences and inspirations have always been the actors I've
loved watching.
7) What was your best moment filming
Dream Team?
My best moment filming Dream Team was the entire season Ten
Christmas episode, Reza the director, Junior and all the other
guys really stepped up their game and I think we created
something truly memorable, it was the first time I really
enjoyed acting and really felt that acting was for me.
8) Who were you best friends on Dream
Team?
I was very close to a lot of people at the time but I suppose 6
years later you measure it in the people who are STILL your
friends and still in your life, Duncan Pow, Ricky Whittle,
Lucinda Kennard and some of the crew are the ones I still see
and still mess about with.
9) What have you been in since Dream
Team ended?
Well, there was an Orange advert straight after, then three
years of Eastenders, a short movie, George Lucas' Red Tails
followed that, shortly after I then moved to America and was
lucky enough to work on Law and Order Los Angeles and Brothers
and Sisters and the rest as they say is history.
10) Do you have any new filming
projects coming up you can tell us about?
I do have some very exciting projects coming up but you'll have
to wait and see for yourself!
