Frankie Fitzgerald Interview - ( Jason Porter )

Below you can read 10 questions that Frankie very kindly answered for me.

28th July 2011

1) How did you get into acting?
I started at school, I was never short of confidence but I realised it was something I was good at and that I wanted to pursue from when I was about 12

2) Who would you love to meet and have a chat with .. Dead or Alive and why?
To many to mention, their are actors, directors, political figures the list is endless but I suppose Terence Stamp would be up there and Frank Sinatra

3) What football team do you support?
Arsenal.. no further comment

4) What do you like to do in your spare time?
Football is a big love, I play, I watch, there is nothing better than a Sunday down with the boys, playing in the morning then a lazy afternoon in the pub watching a couple of games. I also read a lot and watch far too many films/TV... Sky Atlantic has taken over my life!

5) What type of music do you like, and what was the last album you bought?
I love music, anything goes in my house! I'm a big hip-hop fan, there are a lot of layers to it that go untouched and not enough good rappers get noticed especially UK talent which is very strong at the moment my last album was in fact Tinie Tempah - Discovery. Saying that I love everything from Nina Simone to Kasabian to Rihanna (who doesn't like Rihanna)

6) Who have been the biggest influences in your life and career?
My family, my friends my teachers everyone plays a part, the beauty of an actor is that your job is to learn and hopefully with every step I take I'm learning something new!

7) What was your best moment filming Dream Team?
Wow, tough one! So many fond memories on and off camera, I was lucky to have such a great year, some of the work Amy Perfect and I produced I'm very proud of, especially around our wedding! I'd have to say being on set with the boys though, some of the changing room banter was just hilarious!

Who were your best friends on Dream Team?
I was obviously very close with Aston, Dominic and Amy as we all started together, but I had very strong relationships throughout the season and still see a lot of people from the show! Darren 'Tyson' White has to be the most genuine person I've ever met! Big Love for Tys!

9) What have you been in since Dream Team ended?
Since DT I've had a few small jobs, Hotel Babylon, He Kills Coppers, I've also made a feature film called Stormhouse which is doing really well - hopefully you'll be able to see that later this year. My proudest moment though is establishing Centre Stage Theatre Academy an independent school teaching performing arts to young people! www.centrestagetheatreacademy.com  I love it with a passion, the kids are amazing!

10) Do you have any new filming projects coming up you can tell us about?
My most recent role was a very small guest role in Jon Culshaw's Big Impression Show - I'll not tell you who I'm playing though!
