The Home Of Dream Team
Harchester United Football Club
was a fictional Premier League football club from the Midlands. |
Below you can read 10 questions that Darren very kindly answered for me today.
22nd July 2011
1) How did
you get into acting?
It was a random occurrence, but I owe it all to Andy Ansah, whom
I knew previously! Andy gave me the opportunity & I'm forever
grateful. I got in contact with Andy and he offered me the
opportunity to play Tyson in DT & the rest is history.
2) Who would you love to meet and have
a chat with .. Dead or Alive and why?
That's such a big question, I'm not sure.. I'd like to say my
grandparents as I lost them at a young age, but I will say
Michael Jackson.. I think I would get a very interesting story!
3) What football team do you support?
LIVERPOOL since the age of 9!
4) What do you like to do in your spare
time?
I am a family man, and have some amazing friends that compliment
them, so I spend quality time with friends and family.
5) What type of music do you like, and
what was the last album you bought?
I listen to a bit of everything, last Album was on Itunes & it
was a Garage Classics album, taking me back! My next
single/album Wretch 32 Black & White & listen out for - Don't
Go.
6) Who have been the biggest influences
in your life and career?
The list is extremely long & these individuals have all impacted
on my life in a positive way; My Mrs Alison, Andy Ansah, Tom
Walley, and the late Allan Batsford. Riane Swaine & Coleen
Boxall, Peter Walshe & finally Big Mark they have all been a
huge part of making me the person I am today!
7) What was your best moment filming
Dream Team?
Everyday turning up for work, so many funny & unique experiences
if I could bottle it I would! On screen the 1st Ep of series 10
Southend live game. It had the potential to fall flat on its
face but with great help from all the cast, crew, plus players &
management at Southend at the time, we made a good football
montage.
8) Who were your best friends on Dream
Team?
They are still 3 of my closet mates; Ricky Whittle & Alex
Lawler, Andy Ansah
9) What have you been in since Dream
Team ended?
Mmmm.. A play called Transfer Deadline Day, but my future lies
behind the camera; I have choreographed & directed on numerous
football/sport related films, adverts, viral & print campaigns
ranging from The European Championships, Nike, Adidas, The 2012
Olympic campaign and many many more. I have just recently
finished working on a Nike advert in Turkey. Look out for it
featuring Galatasary players Adar & Kazim-Richards #BIG
10) Do you have any new filming
projects coming up you can tell us about?
Yes & no, unfortunately I can't say, but keep following me on
Twitter gang @Darrentyswhite I am constantly updating my
followers.
